I love doing character art. I always have since I was a kid, and it's probably the thing I've done the most when it comes to art. As of late though, I have beg unto do more and more stuff outside of Character Art, but I'll still do it from time to time, and it's my favorite part of creating characters.
Some character art may be moved to other parts of the site due to me feeling like it's more fitting for them to be there based on what project we're talking about.
A few years ago, I was really into the YouTube channel, Popcross Studios, and something that he does every month is a community redraw where he would takea select number of character art that his subscribers made and sent him under a prompt, and he would redraw them. One of the challenges that I partook in was one where we fused two characters from different franchises together. I decided I would try to do a fusion of Sans and Steven, who I called Sazon Universe to try to blend Sans and Steven's names, and while I was proud of what I made, I didn't win. Looking back on it, I think what I created was pretty stupid now, but it's still nice to remember from time to time just ot see where I was back then.
At the end of my Senior High School year, I was talking to a friend who talked of how she and her friends considered doing a Dungeons And Dragons campaign that comprised of Sans AUs. When I heard this, I mentioned that I drew A LOT of Sanses, and she then asked me to draw a fusion between Sans and Frisk from ReaperTale, and I was more than excited and happy to do so. I don't have the original drawing with me anymore because I gave it to her and never used a copy machine on it, but I did take a picutre of it beforehand.
For the longest time, I would've said this is my favorite drawing because my favorite art of mine is the ones where I make it for others and they demonstrate how I've grown as a person, which is why I've been pondering on doing commissions as of late, why I'm always more than happy to have people to tell/ask me to draw something, and why Community Week was my favorite week of this year's OC-Tober. It also helped that this was based on UTDR, so that's a plus too! Right now, I'm not sure what my current favorite drawing/art is, but this is still up there as one of my favorites!
This was another one of those challenges from Popcross, though this time, instead of a community redraw, it was a contest where we created fusions where we would take our favorite fictional characters, and then fuse them with at least two characters from different franchises with designs that we really liked. For this one, I took Sans, and fused him with Goku Black from DragonBall Super, The Origin from Fortnite, and Mephiles the Dark and Infinite from the Sonic franchise. Didn't win this one either, and I wish I could've shown that Sans was part of the character design besides the Gaster Blaster, but just like the Sans x Steven fusion, I still fondly remember it as a milestone of how far I came with my art and character design.
While going through a Steven Universe hyperfixation with my friends, I decided it would be fun to draw the Shadow Crystals from DeltaRune as a Gem. Before you ask about the Rouxls resemblance, it wasn't completely intended as I was just making it up as I was drawing it, but considering this was around the time when Rouxls became my favorite Darkner, there was definitely a little bit of influence.
After getting into Slay The Princess, I decided that I needed to draw the voices from the game. Since they don't have a physical description, I decided it was fun to come up with the designs along the way.
